Coverage
Honest status of CloakAPI's cyber liability and errors & omissions insurance. We do not carry a policy today and will not state coverage amounts until one is in force.

Carrier search
CloakAPI does not currently carry cyber or E&O insurance, and no carrier search is under way at this stage. We will begin a procurement process, and update this page, as revenue and enterprise demand warrant. We have not named any carrier because none has been engaged.
Coverage scope (design intent)
The intended cyber liability policy will cover:
- Data breach response costs (forensics, notification, credit monitoring)
- Regulatory defence and fines (GDPR, state privacy laws)
- Business interruption arising from a covered cyber event
- Third-party liability for security failures
- Ransomware and extortion events
The intended E&O policy will cover:
- Customer claims arising from service errors, outages, or failures to perform
- Professional liability for technology services provided via the CloakAPI platform
What is not covered (anticipated exclusions)
Standard tech insurance policies typically exclude: intentional wrongdoing, war and government acts, infrastructure not under operator control, pre-existing known vulnerabilities not disclosed to insurer. Actual exclusions will depend on the final policy language. Full policy terms will be available to enterprise customers under NDA on request.
Certificate of Insurance (COI)
Once a policy is bound, a Certificate of Insurance will be made available on request to enterprise customers undergoing procurement review. To request a COI or to be notified when the policy is bound, contact trust@cloakapi.io with the subject line "COI Request".
We will not provide a COI for a policy that is not in force. We will not state a policy number, carrier name, or coverage amount until binding is complete.
Additional Insureds
Enterprise customers with contractual requirements for additional insured status on the CloakAPI policy should communicate this requirement to trust@cloakapi.io during the carrier selection process. We will attempt to accommodate reasonable additional insured requests in the policy structure.
